LET’S NOT FORGET PRINCE RUPERT
The post on Canada ports was hardly up when there was a plaintive (but polite) call from Prince Rupert: “What about us!”
And rightly so. Not as well known as Vancouver and Victoria as a cruise port Prince Rupert is nevertheless a major cruise player on British Columbia’s North Coast.
In the summer it is visited by many cruise ships, drawn there by its great port facilities and its motto “Where Canada’s Wilderness Begins”. It's home to Canada's only Grizzly Bear Sanctuary and a huge concentration of humpbacked whales.
